Billy Corgan would never perform a whole Smashing Pumpkins album live.

The frontman insists he won't accept offers to play the band's 'Siamese Dream' album in full and believes acts who do are like "girls who f**k on first dates".

He said: "Bad economy, record sales are down, gotta make money from touring. Oh, go out and play 'Siamese Dream'. Get as many of the original members as you can back in there.

"The managers will tell you, 'You'll be playing in front of big crowds and you'll have an opportunity to move from there into the next cycle.'

"I'm sorry, but if you play in front of an audience and give them exactly what they want, the way they want it, they're not coming back.

"They're like a girl who f**ks on a first date. They're not coming back and if they are, they're coming back for the same thing, not the right thing.

"If you go too fast, too soon, the audience just assumes you're a bitch like everyone else and they move on to somebody else that they believe in."

Although Billy - who is the sole original member of the group - knows he isn't going down an easy route by performing new material, he is prepared to keep going "to the end" and thinks his path will prove to be the right one.

He added to NME magazine: "I'm gonna win in the f***ing end. I'm that kind of motherf***er. I'll fight to the end and I'll still be standing there at the end."
