'X Factor' fans have demanded Anastacia gets a full-time judging job on the show.

The 'I'm Outta Love' hitmaker impressed supporters as a guest panellist on the ITV1 programme during auditions in Glasgow on Monday (11.06.12), and her performance has put her in the frame to land the position on a permanent basis, despite former US 'X Factor' judge Nicole Scherzinger reportedly being offered the job.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "Everything is in place to sign Nicole but Anastacia was incredible. She had such great chemistry with the others.

"Nicole has been good in the past but she hasn't worked with anyone on this panel before except Louis, so who knows how she will do?

"Nothing is certain on 'The X Factor' -- things change down to the wire."

'X Factor' fans have taken to twitter to show their appreciation for the 43-year-old star and demand she becomes the fourth judge for the forthcoming series after Kelly Rowland's exit.

One supporter wrote: "I think Anastacia should be the new UK X Factor judge." And another said Anastacia did an "awesome" job.

The blonde beauty impressed during auditions when she got onstage to peak up one lucky contestant's kilt, and she also flirted with Gary Barlow - who is on the judging panel alongside Tulisa Contostavlos and Louis Walsh - and the Take That star took to his twitter account after filming to thank her for her guest appearance.

He wrote "Well done Anastacia for being a great guest judge yesterday."

Anastacia - who has previously battled breast cancer herself - was also reduced to tears during auditions when one hopeful dedicated his song to his cancer-stricken grandmother.

Nicole is due to be a guest judge at Monday's (18.06.12) auditions in Newcastle.
