'EastEnders' Max Branning would love to marry Tanya again.
Jake Wood - who has played Max Branning on the BBC One soap since 2006 - has big plans for his on-screen relationship with Tanya (Jo Joyner) and is pleased with how "incredibly well" the couple is doing with fans.
The 39-year-old told Inside Soap magazine: "It would be Max's absolute dream to marry Tanya again. He's 100 per cent committed to her, and if she wants a big wedding, he'll go along with it."
Jake is thrilled with the support fans have shown the on-screen couple, and hopes the pair can continue to work together.
He enthused: "It's remarkable that people still care so much for Max and Tanya. I suppose it just goes to show that they're a great couple. Whatever the writers throw at them, they always seem to gravitate back towards each other.
"It's partly luck that Jo and I have such a brilliant working relationship. She's a fantastic actress, and I'm pleased that it's turned out so incredibly well for us."
The Branning family have proved popular with the public in 2012, with actors Jake, Jo and Lorna Fitzgerald - who plays Max's youngest daughter - all awarded with gongs at the British Soap Awards.
Jake added: "I have no idea how many more mistakes the audience will let Max make, though. Hopefully many more!"
