Geri Halliwell's X Factor healing
Geri Halliwell used 'The X Factor' to help her get over her split from Henry Beckwith
The 'X Factor' helped to heal Geri Halliwell's heartache.
The former Spice Girl joined the judging panel of the pop star search show last week in a move which was widely thought to be an audition for the vacant position left by Kelly Rowland and friends say it is the perfect distraction from the recent end of her relationship with Henry Beckwith.
A source said: "Geri's saying 'The X Factor' is healing her heartache. She's been so upset by the break-up. The show has come along at the perfect time to distract her.
"I think he's the one guy who really understood Geri. Yes they argued but there was also a lot of love. He was great with her six-year-old daughter Bluebell."
While other guest judges including Rita Ora and Leona Lewis are thought to have impressed show bosses more than Geri, she is still determined to make the most of any chance she gets on 'X Factor'.
The source added: "Despite others being linked to the role of permanent judge, Geri's determined to make the most of her time. She wants to do something amazing before she turns 40 in August and has joked that panellist Gary Barlow can set her up with one of his mates.
