All four judges on 'The Voice' face the axe after tonight's final (03.06.12).
Tom Jones, Jessie J, Danny O'Donoghue and Will.i.am could all be dropped from the BBC One show after it lost seven million viewers over its debut season, despite an estimated £11 million spent on its launch.
A BBC source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "We have already paid £22 million for two years so there is no question of it being axed.
"But it seems unlikely any of the current coaches will be back. The viewers haven't connected strongly enough with them.
"The show got off to a fantastic start, but the fans got bored of the same ultra-positive and unbelievably nice comments every week, and viewing figures tumbled."
'The Voice' initially had over 11 million viewers, but by its semi-final stages, these had slumped to 4.5 million. Tonight's show will see either Tyler James, Vince Kidd, Leanne Mitchell or Bo Bruce emerge as the winner.
The programme's judges have also faced criticism, with Jessie accused of being a diva and Will.i.am said to have flown around the world attending to other projects rather than staying in London to help his contestants.
Insiders say for the next series, bosses are likely to target big names such as Adele and Cheryl Cole to appear on the show.
Tonight's final has also faced criticism after performances from Ed Sheeran and Maroon 5 were taped and will be inserted into the show, rather than the stars performing live.
