Marcus Collins wants X Factor guest judge role
Marcus Collins would jump at the chance of being a guest judge on 'The X Factor' this year
Marcus Collins would "love" to be an 'X Factor' guest judge.
The 'Mercy' singer - who came second in the competition last year - would jump at the chance to be a guest judge on the show alongside Gary Barlow, Louis Walsh and Tulisa Contostavlos following in the footsteps of Geri Halliwell, Rita Ora and Leona Lewis who have all done the job recently.
He exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "A good judge is animated and somebody who is also a musician. I think potentially the best judges are musicians themselves.
"Would I do it? Of course! I'd be in straight away! Straight away! I'd love it. I'd love to, that would be great."
Marcus recently worked backstage at the very first audition of the 2012 season in Liverpool, and he had a great time speaking to the potential stars of this year's show.
He said: "I went to watch, to see Gary and just get some support for Liverpool and just rallying the troops backstage, getting all the contestants ready to sing.
"It was fun. Do you know what? I just did it off my own back because I wanted to do it and I wanted to go and watch the auditions. I was home in Liverpool for the afternoon, so I thought why not? I would've loved somebody to come and give us a boost, someone like Rebecca Ferguson.
"It's just nice to go and speak to people before they go on and just give them that little bit of confidence from someone who's been there and done it."
Marcus' new single 'Mercy' is out on June 3.
