'EastEnders' Joshua Pascoe has been arrested in connection with an alleged sexual assault.
The 16-year-old actor - who plays murderer Ben Mitchell in the BBC One soap - was questioned by police at Wimbledon Police Station in South London on Thursday (24.05.12) before being released on bail.
The exact details of the alleged attack have not been released but sources close to the family say his mother, Sherree, is distraught at his arrest.
An insider told The Sun newspaper: "His mum is distraught. He's only 16 so his arrest is very upsetting for the whole family."
Joshua's parents are separated and he lives with his father, Gary in Sutton, South London.
On screen Joshua is currently at the centre of a murder plot after his character Ben, brutally murdered Heather Trott (Cheryl Fergison).
Viewers saw Ben leaving Heather's flat dripping in blood after killing her, but after no-one on Albert Square spotted him, his hardman dad Phil (Steve McFadden) destroyed the evidence by faking a burglary at Heather's home and taking away all evidence which linked the murder to Ben.
He came up with an alibi for the teen and told him to burn his clothes while the frame - which contained a picture of Heather and her pal Shirley - was dumped in the canal.
