Danny O'Donoghue is desperate to record with Sir Tom Jones.

The Script frontman has been using downtime from 'The Voice' to beg his fellow coach to let him play on one of his songs.

Danny said: "Tom has a new song called 'Tower Of Song' and I want to play guitar on it - it's a magic song."

Reggie isn't the only star of 'The Voice' who is in awe of Tom.

Presenter Reggie Yates recently revealed he has a "man crush" on the singing legend.

He said: "I have a man crush on Tom Jones, I want to be his best made and just hang around him all the time.

"I think people take for granted how bloody cool he actually is. He's a legend."

Reggie particularly loved watching Tom use his experience and celebrity stories to compete against his fellow coaches to acquire the acts he wants to look after.

He added in an interview with the Daily star newspaper: "In the format, after the contestant has sung, if more than one coach turns their chair around, the power switches.

"The coaches have to pitch to the person on stage about why they should join their team. So they start going off against each other head-to-head. For example, Jessie J could say, 'Look, I'm an artist in the charts now in 2012, go with someone your own age.'

"But the thing about Tom or will.i.am is they have these amazing anecdotes and have worked with everyone, so their experience is invaluable. So they keep trying to one up each other.

"will.i.am will talk about working with Justin Timberlake and then Tom will talk about Frank Sinatra, and then will will talk about Michael Jackson and Tom will talk about Elvis. They are big time."
