Geri Halliwell 'excited' by X Factor return
Geri Halliwell admits she is "incredibly excited" to take a guest judging slot at the first 'X Factor' audition in Liverpool tomorrow (23.05.12)
Geri Halliwell is "incredibly excited" to join the panel for 'The X Factor' in Liverpool.
The 39-year-old singer is taking a seat on the judging desk alongside Gary Barlow, Louis Walsh and Tulisa Contostavlos for the first auditions in the city tomorrow (23.05.12), and she is delighted to be returning after a brief stint on the programme in 2010.
She said in a statement: "I'm incredibly excited and proud to join 'The X Factor' in Liverpool and have the opportunity to find a new star.
"Those four seats are the hottest seats in Britain right now! I hope to share all my experience and the ups and downs of how to make it globally in the music industry with the contestants and I'm really looking forward to having a blast with Gary, Tulisa and the lovely Louis."
Geri caused controversy when she was last on the show, reportedly being booed by the audience in Glasgow and in the show was seen giving lengthy advice.
It is believed the Spice Girls singer is being considered for a main judging role on the live shows should she do well tomorrow.
A source said: "Geri is not just a guest judge - she's a judge-in-waiting.
"We want her to do it and she wants to do it. We will be watching her like a hawk in Liverpool and fingers cross it will go well and she'll be signed."
