Brendan Cole doesn't believe Alesha Dixon will be missed from the next series of 'Strictly Come Dancing' because Darcey Bussell will bring something new to the panel
Brendan Cole doesn't think Alesha Dixon will be missed from 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
The professional dancer - who is fronting the Flora pro.active Swing Into Action campaign to encourage people to exercise - is excited to welcome Darcey Bussell in as Alesha's replacement because she is very knowledgeable but thinks the 33-year-old singer did well on 'Britain's Got Talent'.
He exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "Will Alesha be missed? No, I don't think so. Everybody brings their own bit to the show I think. I'm very happy Darcey is part of the show I think it's great - she's knowledgeable, she's one of the country's most loved dancers.
"Alesha is now doing very well on 'Britain's Got Talent'. She looked like she was doing very well. Everyone always brings a different element. Every year the different celebs make the show completely different."
Discussing ballet dancer Darcey - who is joining Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli and Craig Revel Horwood on the panel of the BBC show - Brendan believes she will be a great critic because she can comment from "a position of authority".
He added: "Darcey will be fantastic. She is legendary. She's one of the only people I've ever been starstruck meeting. I got all like, 'Ooh look!' She has a beautiful presence about her. So in terms of somebody speaking from a position of authority, she couldn't be better."
