Laura Hogg's personal life shock
Laura Hogg was in a "state of shock" when she learnt of her 4-year-old son's fathers' murder whilst filming 'The Apprentice'.
'The Apprentice' star Laura Hogg was in an "absolute state of shock" when she discovered her four-year-old son's father had been murdered.
The 28-year-old - who was fired from Lord Sugar's BBC One show on Wednesday (11.05.2012) - revealed it was "the worst moment of [her] life" when she learnt of her ex-boyfriend's death whilst competing on the show.
She told The Sun: "I was in an absolute state of shock. I just wanted someone to pinch me. I couldn't speak. It was like something from a film.
"When you hear that someone you cared for deeply - and who did something as amazing as giving you a child - has gone through that ordeal it hurts like mad. It was really disturbing. "
Her 34-year-old ex, Chris Lindsay, was found at the side of the road on the Costa del Sol after being beaten unconscious and died of liver failure five days later.
Laura was mid-task during filming for the reality programme's third episode when she was pulled aside by producers. She explained: "I went back to the house after the task. No one knew what had happened. I don't even know if Lord Sugar knows. I was acting as normally as I could but deep down I was as upset as hell."
The blonde Scot chose not to go to his funeral as the pair had been estranged since her son Reese's birth and Chris had no contact with his son.
She reflected: "Before Chris and I split there was a point when I thought I was going to spend the rest of my life with him."
But Laura is adamant that she is not playing the pity card: "I will never know if what happened affected my performance. I was never going to play that card... I was in the show to go all the way."
