Gaynor Faye's children cringe at kissing
Gaynor Faye admits her young children struggle seeing her kiss her on-screen partner Carl in 'Emmerdale'.
Gaynor Faye's children cringe when she has an on-screen kiss.
The 'Emmerdale' actress - who plays Megan in the Yorkshire-set soap - admits her children Oliver, 11 and Lily, seven, enjoy seeing her on the show but are not keen on when she has to kiss partner Carl (Tom Lister).
She said: "The kids love 'Emmerdale'. But they cringe when they se me as Megan kissing Carl. They give me a look and say, 'Oh mum, did you have to?' Tom's great fun to work with, and you know, he's quite a good kisser."
Acting is not Gaynor's only love - she also enjoys the opportunity to work on scripts written by her mother Kay Mellor.
She told Soaplife magazine: "I was the official script editor on her BBC drama 'The Syndicate' about a group of people who win the Lottery. I've always read mum's work and made comments but this time my name was on the credits.
"Acting is m first love and my passion but I love writing too. I started when I was pregnant with Oliver and missed out on a couple of really good roles because of it."
