Vernon Kay is to host a new sports entertainment show.
The 38-year-old presenter will front 'Let's Get Gold', a three-episode series on consecutive nights this summer, and he thinks it is a perfect tie-in for the forthcoming London Olympics.
He said: "With the Olympics just around the corner and sport fever hitting the UK, this show provides the stage for local sporting teams to show off their skills and sporting prowess in breathtaking performances."
The show will see 15 teams from across the UK battling it out to impress a panel of celebrity pundits and sport stars to be judged on on their technique, skill and athleticism, as well as creativity, style and flair.
The winning team will be rewarded with a £100,000 prize.
Vernon added: "With a huge cash prize up for grabs and an all-star panel of famous pundits from the worlds of showbiz and sport, this series promises to be the ultimate sporting battle."
The programme will air on ITV1.
ITV's controller of entertainment, John Kaye Cooper, said: "'Let's Get Gold' will give Britain's sports teams the chance to show off their skill and creativity as the country gears up for a great summer."
