Cheryl Cole and Kylie Minogue to perform on The Voice
Cheryl Cole and Kylie Minogue have been drafted in to perform on 'The Voice' semi-final and final in a bid to improve falling ratings
Cheryl Cole and Kylie Minogue will perform on 'The Voice'.
The two popstars have been drafted in for the semi-final on May 26 and final on June 2 in a bid to improve declining ratings after it has struggled to compete with 'Britain's Got Talent' in the live shows.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "We just can't compete with 'BGT'. They are giving us a kicking and we just have to take it.
"Thankfully it ends next weekend so we are hoping our ratings will start to go up.
"We always expected our figures to dip but now it's depressing.
"We're proud of 'The Voice' and hope fans stick with us."
Although Sir Tom Jones recently claimed he and fellow coaches Danny O'Donoghue, Jessie J and will.i.am will all return for a second season, an insider says no one is safe after the spectacular ratings decline which saw just 6.9 million people tune in on Sunday (06.05.12).
An insider told The Sun newspaper: "If the show keeps bleeding two million viewers a week, serious changes are needed at the highest levels and no one is safe."
