Roxanne Pallet loves releasing anger with fight scenes
Roxanne Pallett loves releasing all of her inner aggression by acting out fight scenes on TV, and the actress is to grapple on the set of 'Casualty' when she stars as "insecure" and "possessive" character Keeley.
Roxanne Pallett enjoys releasing all her inner aggression by acting out fight scenes.
The 29-year-old actress - who shot to fame playing domestic abuse victim Jo Sugden in 'Emmerdale' for three years - plays "insecure" and "possessive" character Keeley in tonight's (28.04.12) episode of 'Casualty', and Roxanne loved releasing all of her alter-ego's tension during a fight scene on the BBC One show.
She exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "I'm playing Keeley in 'Casualty' and she is a really flawed character, she's riddled with insecurity and possessiveness and she's really abusive to her boyfriend. And the guy playing my boyfriend is really big and masculine so you wouldn't think he would be a victim. But it's a really clever storyline because she is the controlling and abusive one.
"I have a fight scene outside the hospital, which I enjoyed. Some people go to the gym but I just do a fight scene for a few hours. It's a nice little energy release, you really get your aggression out and then you wake up the next morning and you can't feel your arms. It's good though."
Roxanne recently starred as schoolgirl Shelby Dixon in 'Waterloo Road', and the brunette actress is grateful for the recognition she has received for other roles as well as being referred to as 'Emmerdale's Jo".
She added: "I'm enjoying spreading my wings since Jo as well, so rather than just being 'Emmerdale's Jo I'm getting out and earning my stripes."
Roxanne's 'Casualty' episode will be aired on BBC One at 9.20pm tonight (28.04.12).
