Kym Marsh and Jamie Lomas are reportedly determined to put the story of him allegedly kissing another woman during a drunken night out behind them

Kym Marsh and Jamie Lomas are determined to "work through" their problems after he allegedly kissed another woman during a drunken night out.

The former 'Hollyoaks' actor and the 'Coronation Street' beauty - who have a 13-month-old daughter Polly together - have been talking through their relationship since the claims were made public yesterday (27.04.12) and have decided to put the story behind them.

A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "They are still living in the same house and that says a lot."

After the story broke yesterday, Kym went ahead with a scheduled appearance on 'BBC Breakfast' to promote the new 'Coronation Street' musical and said dealing with the interest in her private life was "tricky".

She explained: "You just get on with it don't you really, it's just part of the job. It's tricky."

Katie Moores, 26, alleges Jamie invited her back to his hotel following an evening out and they shared a 20 second kiss.

She said: "My friend spoke to him first because she recognised him from 'Hollyoaks'. Me and two friends got in a black cab with Jamie and his friend. I was pretty drunk. We went to the Park Plaza and he was in the penthouse.

"We were just drinking and talking about people off the soap. At one point he did say he was single. My friend knew he was with Kym but I didn't. He didn't really say much about Kym - only that they'd just got back off holiday. He didn't want to talk about her."

While they kissed, Katie insists it wasn't anything intimate.

She said: "The kiss wasn't anything like a passionate kiss - just a stupid drunken one.

"We were sat next to each other on the bed. It just happened. I don't remember who started it. It wasn't very long, probably about 20 seconds. After that we were just messing about play fighting."
