Jacqueline Jossa says EastEnders character isn't sexy

Jacqueline Jossa was stunned to be nominated as one of soap's sexiest stars - because she spends most of her time being covered in sick.
The 'EastEnders' star's alter-ego, Lauren Branning, is currently battling alcohol addiction, so spends a lot of her on-screen time in less than glamorous situations after drinking sessions.
Because of this, Jacqueline, 19, was amazed when she was nominated for the Sexiest Female gong at next month's British Soap Awards alongside former 'EastEnders' co-star Preeya Kalidas, 'Coronation Street' beauty Michelle Keegan and Jorgie Porter from 'Hollyoaks'.
She said: "The other girls are all very, very sexy! How can I be up against Michelle Keegan? I don't know how I am nominated, all I do is throw up!
"Maybe it's because Lauren is just your normal girl, a plain Jane, but maybe people see a sexy side to her."
Referring to her story lines, she added: "I think some girls relate to her although maybe not all of them have run over their dad.
"I am excited about it because it is nice to be nominated, but I'm nervous as well because people will be expecting me to be sexy and I am just not."
However, Jacqueline is excited about the prospect of going to the awards show because it will give her the chance to dress up and people can see her in a different light.
She told The Sun newspaper: "I like getting dressed up, though, because Lauren never does so it is nice to put on some make-up and do something different."
