Patsy Palmer has renewed her wedding vows with husband Richard Merkell.
The 'EastEnders' actress - who has son Charley, 20, from her relationship with boxer Alfie Rothwell, and Fenton, 11, Emilia, 10, and 16-month-old Bertie with Richard - made the renewed commitment on a Caribbean beach 12 years after the couple tied the knot in a London registry office.
She said: "We wanted a simple but spiritual ceremony with lots of fun and laughter and to take away some really lovely happy memories, as well as make the children feel secure. It was exactly that and more. I feel really blessed.
"I think every married couple should do it every 10 years. It is so easy to get divorced now but much harder to stay married.
"Because of my career and the kids, you never really get time to think about being married, as life is such a rush, so making a commitment to each other again means a lot.
"We're also doing this as much for the children. We want them to feel secure and to have something to remember. It will be lovely for them to see us declaring our love each other."
The 39-year-old star - who plays Bianca Butcher in the BBC One soap - wore a low-cut white silk dress for the ceremony, with Richard and her four children also dressed in white.
Patsy was eager to get married to Richard again after she wore a "baggy cotton frock" for their first nuptials and the couple haven't got any wedding photos from the occasion.
She added to HELLO! magazine: "I'd just given birth to Fenton prematurely at 32 weeks and he had to stay in hospital. We went to register Fenton's birth at Chelsea Register Office and out of all the gloom and worry we wanted to do something really lovely and get married.
"I was still big from my pregnancy so I didn't wear a proper wedding dress, just a baggy cotton frock, and we never even bothered with wedding photos."
Patsy is due to go on a six-month break from 'EastEnders' at the end of the month to spend more time with her family over the summer.
