Cardiff’s answer to Nico shares her tour habits with us
What time is breakfast?
I am yet to find out.
Tea or coffee?
It’s a delicate mix of coffee in the morning followed by the relentless drinking of tea until bed.
Smoking or non-smoking?
Non, unless I fancy it.
Sweet or savoury snacks?
Savoury will always win. I am ingrained with the love of meat and potato pies from my Northern granny.
What food do you miss when you tour?
It is usually something inane like beans and cheese on toast.
Who’s the best cook you know?
It would be one Vaso Parros, a Greek lady who runs and cooks in a small taverna on the island of Agistri.
What’s on your rider?
A long list of lovely healthy things that are then usually crossed out in marker pen and replaced with warm beer and Doritos.
Which country/city has the best food?
I’ve never been to Ethiopia but I have eaten the most incredible Ethiopian food in Chicago a few times now and it is superior to any food I have ever eaten before … that and Greek food.
Do you eat out a lot?
I suppose I have done recently given that I’ve been touring loads but, I am a huge fan of staying in and cooking when I’m home.
Do you drink onstage?
Yes I do. I like a wee whisky on stage with me just for a little moral support.
