Broadway musical voted off stage

  • 14 August 2007

The “American Idol” musical has not enjoyed the same levels of success as the ever popular music idol television shows, as it closed just one day after officially opening off Broadway. Idol: The Musical was advertised as a “satirical comedy that focuses on the outrageous and delusional fan base of the hit television show”. However the $60 a ticket production has been closed due to a lack of advance ticket sales, financial problems and negative feedback from critics and audiences after only one regular performance.
