Nigel Pivaro wants explosive Corrie exit
Nigel Pivaro wants his 'Coronation Street' character Terry Duckworth to be killed off in an explosive storyline
Nigel Pivaro wants Terry Duckworth to be killed off from 'Coronation Street' with a bang.
The 52-year-old actor - who has played the bad boy character on and off for 28 years - is making yet another return to the ITV1 soap but admitted he wouldn't object to Terry dying if producers promise to give him an explosive exit.
He said: "I don't mind the character dying as long as I'm there. If Terry or a character like him with so much history is killed off it needs to happen with a bit of panache but I want to be a part of it."
Terry's latest return to Weatherfield sees him beat up his son Tommy before he discovers his identity and although the older Duckworth will attempt to make amends, Nigel admitted Terry will try to manipulate Tommy for financial gain.
Speaking on ITV1's 'This Morning', he said: "He's hurt that he's meted out this punishment to his dad. You are going to see him try and make some sort of amends but he also does manipulate the system to his own advantage like he always does. A financial advantage."
