Sir Bruce Forsyth confirmed for Hop Farm
The entertainment legend joins Bob Dylan, Peter Gabriel and Primal Scream at the music festival
Following the recent announcement that the mighty Bob Dylan would be headlining the Hop Farm Music Festival in June, it now seems one of Britain’s own legendary stars will also be in attendance.
Alongside iconic figures of the music industry – including Dylan, Primal Scream, Peter Gabriel and The Stranglers – entertainment legend Sir Bruce Forsyth is also confirmed to play at the event.
Hop Farm will be Forsyth’s first music festival performance, and will see the TV star perform with his big band.
Festival promoter Vince Power said: 'I am honoured to have the legend that is Sir Bruce come down and make his debut appearance at the Hop Farm this year.
'Not only as he never appeared at a festival - he’s never been to a festival. He has been in this business for over 70 years and is a true, true legend, he will be the talking point of the festival.'
The three day independent festival, which takes place Fri 29 Jun–Sun 1 Jul, is renowned for mixing classic performers with more contemporary artists, and after so many decades in the business, Forsyth still seems to have a winning formula.
While the full line-up is still to be announced, other confirmed artists are as follows:
My Morning Jacket
Patti Smith and her Band
Dr John and the Lower 911
The Psychedelic Furs
Lianne La Havas
Benjamin Francis Leftwich
Dog is Dead
