The 'Heaven' hitmaker will take to the stage on the BBC One reality TV show - which features judges Sir Tom Jones, Jessie J, will.i.am and Danny O'Donoghue - in May when the live shows begin.
The talent show announced on its official twitter: "*Voice news* Our first confirmed guest performer for #TheVoiceUK live shows is... @emelisande! She's amazing. We're excited. Details soon. (sic)"
Following the statement, the show tweeted Emeli: "@emelisande Hey Emeli, hope you're easy like a Sande morning (hmm)! Welcome to #TeamVoice x (sic)"
The 24-year-old singer-songwriter - who is expected perform in the first live show, although it is not confirmed - later took to her social networking site to reveal she "can't wait" to sing on the programme.
Paloma Faith, Cerys Matthews, Dante Santiago and Ana Matronic were recently confirmed as advisers for 'The Voice' contestants who are selected in the current blind auditions as they prepare to enter the Battle stage of the competition.
The round will see the four coaches choose their favourite two acts from their team to perform sing-off duets resulting in the judging quartet choosing who goes through to the live shows.
