James and Glasvegas confirmed for Big Stooshie 2012

Scotland’s charity music festival The Big Stooshie is coming to Giffordtown in Fife for the first time, with a three day event aimed at raising money for military charities SSAFA Forces Help and Help for Heroes.

Glasvegas, James, The Damned and The Hoosiers will be among the bands playing on the weekend of Fri 4-Sun 6 May, alongside The Complete Stone Roses, The Beat, The Boomtown Rats and an acoustic set from members of Ocean Colour Scene.

Also on the line-up for the main Arena Stage are Katie Sutherland (formerly of Pearl and the Puppets), folk-rockers Bags of Rock and The Dead Sea Souls. A second stage will play host to the best and brightest local talent, including The Law, The Draymin and The Nature Boys among others.

James guitarist Saul Davis said, 'We don’t normally play just what everybody wants, but events like The Big Stooshie are different, it’s for charity and we have a go there and entertain. It’s the nearest thing to a "James' greatest hits" set that you are likely to see.'
