Becky McDonald's 'Coronation Street' exit and Pat Butcher's 'EastEnders' death will battle it out at this year's British Soap Awards.

The Walford legend - portrayed by Pam St. Clement - bowed out of 'EastEnders' last Christmas after more than 20 years on the soap, while Katherine Kelly's five-year stint in 'Corrie' as bolshie barmaid Becky McDonald came to an end earlier this year.

As well as both departures being up for Best Exit, they will also do battle in the Best Single Episode category.

Facing each other in the Best Actress category are Coronation Street's Alison King (Carla Connor), 'EastEnders' stars Nina Wadia and Jo Joyner - who play Zainab Masood and Jo Joyner respectively - and Hollyoaks' Karen Hassan (Lynsey Nolan).

Meanwhile, Coronation Street's Chris Gascoyne (Peter Barlow), Emmerdale's Danny Miller (Aaron Livesy), EastEnders' Shane Richie (Alfie Moon) and Hollyoaks' Emmett J Scanlan (Brendan Brady) will battle it out for Best Actor.

Elsewhere, soap baddies Andrew Lancel - whose evil alter-ego Frank Foster was killed off 'Coronation Street' by his own mother last month - Hollyoaks' Jeff Rawle (Silas Blissett) and 'EastEnders' actors Ace Bhatti and Joshua Pascoe, who portray Dr. Yusef Khan and troubled teen Ben Mitchell in the BBC One soap, are up for Villain of the Year.

Once again, 'Coronation Street', 'Doctors', 'EastEnders', 'Emmerdale' and 'Hollyoaks' will battle it out for Best Soap at the awards, which will be hosted by 'This Morning' presenter Phillip Schofield.
