BGT's Jonathan: I won't change my image
'Britain's Got Talent' contestant Jonathan Antoine insists he won't change his image if he becomes famous
Britain's Got Talent' contestant Jonathan Antoine insists he won't change his image.
The 17-year-old wannabe - who has been dubbed the new Susan Boyle - and Charlotte Jaconelli became overnight sensations after wowing judges on the ITV1 show with their rendition of 'The Prayer' during their audition - but they don't want to change their look for anyone.
When asked if they would like a makeover, Charlotte replied: "No, I wouldn't want to change my image. People either like me or they don't."
Jonathan added: "I'm just me. I wouldn't mind some nice new clothes if anyone is willing to give them to me, though. But I wouldn't be without my long hair."
The Essex duo - who were asked by judge Simon Cowell to split up because he was worried Charlotte would hold Jonathan back - insist they will not be going their separate ways, and their singing partnership has actually been "strengthened" following the music mogul's request.
Jonathan said: "I think the fact we were asked to split up strengthened our duo. We now want to show that we are going to stay together."
Charlotte added in an interview with Reveal magazine: "A friendship can determine what the outcome will be in these situations - if we weren't friends, then neither of us would care about leaving the other behind."
