Gianluca Longo hosts dinner at Glasgow's Old Fruitmarket
Over the past few months, Peroni Nastro Azzurro has been hosting a series of unique Italian dining experiences in cities across the UK.
Amici di Peroni celebrates Italian style, good food and great company. The dinners are a revival of the Italian Renaissance tradition of ‘Salone’. The Salone were gatherings of the like-minded under the roof of an inspiring host, as participants sought to amuse one another while they refined their tastes and increased their knowledge through the course of an evening’s conversation.
The third dinner took place in Glasgow’s Old Fruitmarket, steeped in history, and was hosted by fashion expert Gianluca Longo. The dinner saw him immerse himself in the city’s thriving fashion scene and cultural identity surrounded by 20 of Glasgow’s most influential bloggers, designers and fashionistas - all handpicked to attend. Each effortlessly demonstrated the city’s achingly trendy attitude, proving that Glasgow has a sartorial swagger entirely of its own.
Previously fashion director at the Evening Standard, Gianluca has helped to define what it is to be a stylish Italian in London. During his career he has styled iconic images featuring everyone from Naomi Campbell and Linda Evangelista to Tilda Swinton and Emma Watson.
The next and final dinner takes place in London on Tuesday 17 April. Look out for the Amici di Peroni for your chance to be invited.
