Louis Walsh claims his friendship with Cheryl Cole is "over" after she publicly slammed him.
The Girls Aloud singer had said Louis was only interested in picking up the cheques when he was manager of the girl group and didn't really look after them, but the Irish music mogul - who worked alongside Cheryl on three series of 'The X Factor' - has vowed to give her a "piece" of his mind.
According to the Daily Mirror newspaper, Louis told a friend: "As far as I'm concerned, our friendship is over. I've no idea why she's made these comments but, in my eyes, it says a lot about her.
"I was always the first to defend her on 'The X Factor', and always watched her back. I thought we were friends. I won't stand for anyone criticising me professionally and if I was in London right now, I'd give her a piece of my mind."
Louis managed Girls Aloud - also made up of Nadine Coyle, Kimberley Walsh, Sarah Harding and Nicola Roberts - when they were first put together after winning talent show 'Popstars: The Rivals' in 2002.
However, Cheryl, 28, claimed he didn't do a very good job, saying: "We never had management. Louis claimed to be our manager but he never did it. We didn't talk to him or anything like that.
"He just took a cheque. Oh yeah, he took the cheques."
