'The Voice' coach will.i.am has been told to calm down after a furious bust up with Jessie J.
The mentor was accused by his own entourage of being too aggressive towards the 'Price Tag' singer after they both tried to convince contestant Joelle, 21, - who impressed with a stunning rendition of Adele's 'Rolling in the Deep' - to join their rival teams on the BBC One show.
Speaking about the incident which will be screened on Saturday (07.04.12), will.i.am told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "There was one point where my team came in and expressed concerns on the banter between the coaches.
"I am the most unconfrontational person in the world - it is not my style - but that was the first time they have ever seen that side of me and they were like, 'Will, what are you doing?'
"They pulled me back in the dressing room and they told me that I should not be doing that. They said it certainly didn't look like banter."
will.i.am also angered the other coaches Danny O'Donoghue and Sir Tom Jones when he interrupted their speeches and offered his opinions on who should mentor which contestants, but he claims he just got caught up in the spirit of the show.
He said: "When you are competing and you wanted something and you see Jessie wants what I want, you are a different person and it is hard to control that. We all take it very seriously.
"It is hard to control something when you are fighting for someone."
