Corrie bosses casting Carla Connor's brother
'Coronation Street' bosses are on the look out for a hunky actor in his 30s to portray Carla Connor's long-lost brother.
'Coronation Street' bosses are looking for a hunky actor to play Carla Connor's brooding brother.
ITV bosses are keen to find exactly the right match to portray the mysterious character - who is often mentioned by Carla (Alison King), but has never been seen - and auditions will begin soon.
An insider told The Sun newspaper: "We are seeing lots of different actors over the next week or so. We have got some exciting storylines lined up for Carla's brother.
"He is a character the fans have been keen to meet for some time."
The sibling will initially arrive on the Street to help Carla run knicker factory Underworld, of which she is boss, and it is expected he will become a new heartthrob on the Weatherfield cobbles.
Although her brother has previously been mentioned, nothing is known about him other than he is in his 30s, and Carla has not even given away his name.
Carla joined the soap in late 2006, and has been the focus of a number of traumatic storylines, including being raped by her fiancé Frank.
