Trisha Goddard to launch US chat show
Trisha Goddard is to re-launch her chat show career in the US with network NCB in New York
Trisha Goddard is re-launching her television career in the US.
The chat show host is to work with New York-based NBC to create her first talk series since leaving Channel 5 in 2009, and she admits she is delighted with the development, which comes as she has been given the all-clear from cancer.
She said: "When I started out back in 1987, I never dreamed I would get a job as a television presenter in Australia, that I would be the first black female presenter in their history or that I would be headhunted back to England to present there.
"And then, to be here in the United States - part of me thinks the alarm clock is going to go off in a minute and I will have to wake up and do the school run."
Trisha believes she has been changed since her battle with breast cancer four years ago, but feels it has made her live her life to the fullest.
She said in an interview with Hello! magazine: "Sometimes I wonder if it all really happened. Cancer has definitely changed me. I still love what I do, but I'm far more relaxed about it.
"I used to live everywhere except the here and now. I live in the now these days, I really do."
