Alesha Dixon feels she can finally be herself on 'Britain's Got Talent' following her stint as a judge on rival BBC One show 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
Alesha Dixon feels she can finally be herself on 'Britain's Got Talent'.
The former 'Strictly Come Dancing' judge - who defected from the BBC to ITV1 in a reported £400,000 deal - admitted she doesn't miss her former job, and joked that she will keep moving around until she's sat on the panel of every TV talent show in the UK.
She told BANG Showbiz: "I don't miss 'Strictly', I had an incredible time on 'Strictly' but it's a different vibe on this show. I have to say, in all honesty, that I feel as though I'm more of myself on this show.
"It's not about the money, it's about doing different things and new challenges. It really isn't, I honestly don't make decisions based on money. It was time for a change and it's been a great change. The chemistry has been brilliant and I've had a lot of fun."
She added: "I'm going to keep going until I've done all of the talent shows!"
Alesha took over on the judging panel of 'Strictly Come Dancing' from 68-year-old choreographer Arlene Phillips in 2009, and her 'BGT' co-star Amanda Holden explained the main differences between the two shows is that Alesha is no longer "frightened" to have an opinion.
Speaking at the launch of 'Britain's Got Talent' yesterday (22.03.12), she said: "She's not frightened to have an opinion on this one."
Meanwhile, show boss Simon Cowell quipped: "Bring back Arlene, that's what I say!"
'Britain's Got Talent' returns to ITV1 tomorrow (24.03.12) at 8pm.
