Ricky Grover 'shocked' at Heather death

Ricky Grover was "shocked" when he found out his on-screen fiancee Heather Trott was going to die.
The 50-year-old 'EastEnders' actor - who plays Andrew Cotton in the BBC One soap - thought his alter-ego would be killed off before Heather, who was murdered by troubled teenager Ben Mitchell (Joshua Pascoe) earlier this week, and he's delighted to have been asked to stay on the show for at least a year.
He said: "To be truthful, it was a bit of a shock when I found out that Heather was being killed off. I honestly thought Andrew would be long gone before she was!"
"'EastEnders' have asked me to stay on as a more regular character, so I'm hoping to be involved for anther year or so. It's such a lovely compliment, especially when I was only brought in for four episodes originally."
Ricky is particularly sad about the soap's latest loss for the audience as they used to congratulate him when his on-screen relationship with the larger-than-life brunette - who was played by Cheryl Fergison - first started.
He added to Inside Soap magazine: "It's really sad because when I initially joined the show, people used to send me letters telling me how pleased they were for Heather. The audience were over the moon that Heather had finally found someone, and that she and Andrew were going to get their happy ending.
"But I suppose that things don't always work out that way in reality, do they?"
