Adam Thomas' terrifying fire scenes
Emmerdale's Adam Thomas found the garage fire scenes to be the "scariest stunt" he's ever filmed because of the extreme heat and real smoke.
Adam Thomas found filming Emmerdale's garage fire scenes the "scariest stunt" he's ever been involved with.
The 24-year-old actor's alter-ego Adam Barton gets trapped inside the village garage after his character sets it alight to get back at Cain Dingle - played by Jeff Hordley - who he believes was responsible for the recent death of his father John (James Thornton).
However, the young farmer gets a sudden attack of conscience and goes back in to the blazing inferno in an attempt to save the corrupt mechanic.
He explained: "It was so daunting to be in the garage when the four walls were on fire. It was so scary.
"It was the scariest stunt I have ever filmed. As soon as someone shouted 'cut' we had to get out because it was so hot and the smoke was real."
However, Adam - who wore special fireproof clothes to film the stunt - and Jeff still managed to have "a laugh" while shooting the terrifying scenes.
He added in an interview with the Daily Star newspaper: "It took three nights to do but it was a laugh. I had to have special fireproof clothes on just in case."
