will.i.am has upset BBC bosses by turning his 'The Voice' dressing room into a recording studio.
The Black Eyed Peas frontman likes to work on tracks during his downtime from the programme, but the noise he has been making has left others at the BBC Television Centre in west London unhappy.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Will.i.am goes everywhere with his music kit so he can lay down tracks wherever he is.
"So it was no surprise to everyone when he and his crew turned up with a stack of gear on the first day.
"Producers thought it was great as we want him to be happy as Larry while he's on the show, and who knows what ideas he'll come up with for his acts? But the stuffy suits upstairs were a bit unhappy about it.
"Will has some serious bass in there and it was vibrating the walls -- you could almost see the dandruff being shaken off their heads."
Meanwhile, will has taken a swipe at rival talent show 'The X Factor' - on which he has previously performed and helped friend Cheryl Cole choose her finalists in 2010 - for using "comedy" acts for entertainment at the expense of real talent.
He told Radio Times magazine: "No I don't watch 'X Factor'. I like performing on it and I like when the real talent emerges.
"I don't like it when they use acts for comedy value when they don't deserve the exposure. We don't do that on 'The Voice."
