Music news that has bought Morrissey tickets already
The just announced shows this issue include Morrissey at the SECC on 2 December, R&B soul man John Legend at Carling Academy on 19 December, gangsta rap numpties The Game at the same venue on 6 December, Lily Allen, Carling Academy, 8 March, My Chemical Romance, SECC, 27 March, Josh Ritter, Cabaret Voltaire on 19 November, while the most excellent Veils play Cabaret Voltaire, 15 November and ABC, 16 Nov.
Plan B’s cancelled October gig has been rescheduled for 2 February at The Arches. Original tickets still valid.
The ‘legendary’ [© Franz Ferdinand] Chateau art factory in Glasgow have launched their own e-magazine at www.checammile.com, which features a mix of fashion, art music and other gooey, yummy stuff.
Everyone’s favourite libellous pop quiz, Poplife, is hosting a special one-off event at Bloc on 25 October with all proceeds going to Oxjam. In addition to the usual quiz madness there are live appearances from Firebrand Boy and Geoff Martyn, while Sanjeev Kohli from Chewin’ the Fat is on the decks. All for the princely sum of £2.
The next Your Sound is at King Tut’s on 4 November from 4-8pm and they are looking for new demos.
