Kelly Rowland: I want X Factor return
Kelly Rowland has confirmed she wants to return to 'The X Factor' judging panel this year, but she admits the decision is "up to Simon Cowell".
Kelly Rowland has confirmed she wants to return to 'X Factor' this year.
The 'Down For Whatever' hitmaker - who was on the panel of the ITV1 talent show alongside Tulisa Contostavlos, Gary Barlow and Louis Walsh last year - has registered her interest in reprising her judging role on the series, but she admits it is "up to Simon Cowell".
She is quoted by the Daily Star as saying: "I would like to do it but it is up to Simon Cowell."
Meanwhile, Alesha Dixon - who quit BBC One's 'Strictly Come Dancing' to become a judge on Simon's 'Britain's Got Talent' earlier this year - is also thought to be in the running to be a panellist on the 'X Factor' if Kelly's contract is not renewed.
A source told the Daily Mail newspaper: "It's a possibility that Alesha will be asked to be an 'X Factor' judge if her stint on 'Britain's Got Talent' is successful.
"Simon originally wanted Alesha instead of Kelly to join the judging panel last year, but she backed out and decided to stay loyal to 'Strictly' and the BBC.
"In a way, Alesha's better suited to 'The X Factor' because she is in touch with popular music and has had hit singles, as a solo artist and a member of her old band Mis-Teeq."
