Simon Cowell says he's too scared to take part in 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!'.

The music mogul - the man behind shows such as 'The X Factor', 'American Idol' and 'Britain's Got Talent' - admits there's no way he could go into the Australian jungle because he thinks it's a form of torture.

He said: "There's not enough money in the world to get me in there.

"You could give me France, I wouldn't, I couldn't do it.

"That show is like torture and it's getting worse and worse."

Hosts Ant and Dec say they would love Simon to take part in the ITV1 show as he would struggle to cope with the insects and gruesome Bushtucker Trials.

Ant said: "We'd love to see Simon in that camp. He wouldn't last two minutes.

"In the morning he has to have three different smoothies - but I don't think he'd cope with the smoothies we'd give him. They'd probably be purified testicles."

Dec added: "The snakes would be more scared of him than he would be of them."

Producers also said Simon would have been perfect as viewers would have been voting for him to do all the trials.

A source added to the Daily Star newspaper: "It's a shame because all those 'X Factor' and 'Britain's Got Talent' rejects, as well as half the nation, would have dialled up to get Simon doing all the Bushtucker Trials."
