Gregg Chillin found filming 'Kidnap and Ransom' in South Africa a "fantastic" experience.
The 23-year-old actor - who portrays kidnap victim Mahavir Mehta in the ITV1 drama - admitted jetting from rainy Bristol to the sun-soaked city of Cape Town was something he could "get used to" on a regular basis.
He told BANG Showbiz: "It was fantastic. I came from working in miserable, wet Bristol on and off for two months, and I flew out to Cape Town and I just landed to sunshine.
"It was quite easy to completely get used to."
However, the hot weather proved tricky while filming scenes in which Gregg's alter-ego is held captive among a bus full of people.
Gregg - who stars alongside the likes of Trevor Eve and Helen Baxendale in 'Kidnap and Ransom' - added: "The only thing that was stressful was filming the bus scenes. It was so, so hot and I'd seen the bus in one of the trailers and it looked massive.
"But in actual fact when you're on it, it's tiny and when there's you and all the crew it got quite hot and difficult at times."
'Kidnap and Ransom' returns to ITV1 tonight (08.03.12)
