'The Only Way Is Essex' is to broadcast every week.
The reality TV show will continue to air on ITV2 but when each series ends, there will be five-minute webisodes transmitting online twice a week.
A show spokesperson said: "The main series of 'The Only Way Is Essex' will continue to air on ITV2 but in addition we will screen five minute websiodes twice a week throughout the year.
"It will give fans the chance to keep an eye on what their favourite stars are up to when the series is taking a break on TV."
ITV have teamed up with show's sponsor Surf for the online episodes, which will be called 'Fresh Out Of Essex' (FOOE) and bosses hope the regular transmission will make the show more like a soap, which never comes off air.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "The producers have already said the show is a real life soap opera and now it is.
"It will be just like 'Corrie', 'Emmerdale' and 'EastEnders'."
Current programme favourites including Joey Essex, James 'Arg' Argent, Chloe Sims, Lauren Goodger and Sam Faiers are expected to appear in the webisodes.
