Sinitta rivals Cowell with pop talent search
Sinitta has launched a search for new pop talent, which will see her go head-to-head with close pal Simon Cowell's acts.
Sinitta has launched a search for new pop talent.
The former singer - who has previously worked as a guest mentor on Simon Cowell's 'X Factor' - is putting her training on the show to good use by setting up her own company Attinis, which will aim to find singers and dancers.
Simon's spokesman Max Clifford said the 52-year-old music mogul welcomes the competition to his acts, explaining: "Simon has always said what a good eye and ear Sinitta has for talent and I know he would wish her all the luck in the world.
"He has said to me, and I know he believes it, that competition keeps everyone on their toes."
However a friend of Sinitta's explained the singer is preparing to put friendship aside in order to go head to head with her former boyfriend, Simon.
The source told The Sun newspaper: "It is separate to Cowell and he will be looking over his shoulder. They are rivals, the gloves are off."
A spokesman for the 'So Macho' singer said: "She is looking to discover the next big thing."
It is unclear if Sinitta's search will be televised.
