James Martin had to apologise live on TV after blurting out the word "d**k".
The TV chef was meaning to praise seafood expert Rick Stein on this weekend's episode of BBC One's 'Saturday Kitchen' after a clip showed him rustling up a delectable dish of pork chops.
However, rather than applauding his culinary efforts, James accidentally spluttered the phrase, "delicious looking d**k".
He was quick to make amends for his live TV blunder and made sure he apologised on air.
James said: "Sorry for that. Delicious looking dish from Rick there."
'Bank Job' host George Lamb was a guest in the studio at the time of the incident and put his head in his hands to cover up his laughter at the shock gaffe, leaving James even more red-faced.
With 'Saturday Kitchen' regularly topping viewing figures for the weekend morning slot, ITV are reportedly set to team up with 'Celebrity MasterChef' winner Nadia Sawalha and Mark Sargeant - a former head chef at Gordon Ramsay's Michelin-starred restaurant at London's Claridge's hotel - to create a rival show.
A source recently explained: "ITV want more original content for daytime weekends and they reckon that a cooking show would be perfect.'Saturday Kitchen' has been around for ages so ITV think they will be able to come up with a fresher option."
