Simon Cowell has handed Olly Murs an 'Xtra Factor' ultimatum.
The 52-year-old music mogul has reportedly told the 'Heart Skips A Beat' hitmaker - who co-hosts the ITV2 'X Factor' spin-off show alongside Caroline Flack - that he must choose between his pop career and his presenting gig as his schedule will not allow time for both.
If the 27-year-old star continues to launch his second solo album 'In Case You Didn't Know' internationally over the summer, it will clash with the audition stage of 'The X Factor' and Simon has reportedly banned him from skipping the first stage of the talent competition.
Olly is quoted as saying: "I really want to do it but when I asked Simon if I could just do the live shows, he said, 'No, it wouldn't be possible'."
However, Caroline seems less than thrilled at the prospect of presenting 'The Xtra Factor' alongside a new co-host, admitting it would be "weird" if Olly wasn't by her side.
She explained: "They asked me if I'd consider presenting with someone else. But that'd feel just weird - I love Olly!"
