Jill Halfpenny is eyeing a role in 'Emmerdale'.
The former 'EastEnders' actress explained with her niece Chelsea Halfpenny currently starring in the ITV1 soap as troubled teen Amy Wyatt, she would be keen to appear as the character's long-lost "druggy mum".
She joked: "I've told her I'll come in and play her druggy mum!
"Chelsea's wanted to act since she was little, and she's doing brilliantly. We've always said we'd love to work together, so I'd never turn down the opportunity."
However, Jill also wouldn't rule out a return to Albert Square in the near future, as her undercover policewoman alter-ego Kate Mitchell could make a reappearance now that her ex-husband Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) is in trouble with the law once again.
She added in an interview with Inside Soap magazine: "Essentially, Kate is her own person now. As far as we know, she'll never be in the police force again due to her misbehavior - so there's no reason why she can't turn up and give Phil a heart attack!"
