Robbie Williams is close to completing his new album and has been working on the tracks at a recording studio in Malibu which is on "top of a mountain"
Robbie Williams is putting the finishing touches to his new album at the "top of a mountain".
The pop star has been working on his next solo LP since Take That's 'Progress Live' tour ended last July and he has now decamped to a remote wooden studio to complete the record without any distractions.
In a blog posting on his official website, he revealed: "NOT MUCH TO REPORT MY END. I'M TUCKED AWAY AT THE TOP OF A MOUNTAIN IN A VERY PLEASANT WOODEN STUDIO NEAR MALIBU.
(PRE-PRODUCTION FOR THE ALBUM....)
I'M READY FOR A FIGHT AND I THINK THIS BATCH OF TUNES WILL MAKE FOR EXCELLENT KNUCKLE DUSTERS ... ONWARD EVER ONWARD ROB (sic)"
Robbie, 38, previously revealed he had 30 tracks to choose from for the album - his ninth studio release and first since 2009's 'Reality Killed the Video Star' - and he was very happy with nearly all of his new songs.
Last year, the 'Angels' singer said: "I have a mountain of songs to finish lyrics for. So many tunes are in a good shape now. Maybe 30 knocking around and that's not including old ones that never made 'Reality Killed the Video Star' (sic).
"The future's bright, i'm looking at my most consistent album to date."
