Coronation Street's Tina to turn down Tommy

Coronation Street's Tina McIntyre will shock Tommy Duckworth by turning down his advances.
While the Rovers Return barmaid - played by Michelle Keegan - is secretly pleased the car valeter has asked her out, she is concerned his "laddish ways" make him untrustworthy as she is still "stung" after her ex-boyfriend Graeme Proctor (Craig Gazey) left her for best friend Xin Chiang (Elizabeth Tan).
Michelle explained: "Tina is still stung by how she was betrayed by Graeme when he ran off with her best friend, Xin. She's wary of being badly hurt again. Deep down, she's flattered when Tommy says he wants to be with her.
"Tina's been waiting for him to say so because Stella has already tipped her off, and she does feel something for him. But at the same time, she can't trust him completely because of his laddish ways."
But Tommy (Chris Fountain) is set to distance himself from Tina by hooking up with a girl called Jodie in the bistro, which could end his chances of ever getting together with the brunette beauty.
Michelle added to Inside Soap magazine: "That sums up Tommy as far as Tina's concerned - it's like he's proved her right. She thinks that if he really wanted to be with her, he wouldn't behave like that. She's also a bit jealous, of course.
"To be honest, I think Tina's enjoying making Tommy suffer for a while. Tommy isn't expecting to see Jodie again, but when she turns up on the Street looking for him, it's just payback as far as Tina is concerned.
"Whether this means that Tommy's completely blown things with Tina, you'll have just have to wait and see. But for the time being, he hasn't got a hope."
