Frank Foster's murderer will attempt to kill two other 'Coronation Street' residents to cover up their deed.

Six suspects - including Sally Webster, Kevin Webster, Anne Foster, Carla Connor, Michelle Connor and Peter Barlow - will be in the frame for killing the evil businessman - played by actor Andrew Lancel - but two of them are also set to face death as part of an elaborate plot to protect their own identity.

A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "They all have a motive but who has the guts to do it? This will be one of Corrie's biggest whodunits ever. Fans will be shocked when they watch it unfold."

Top of the list of suspects is Frank's own mother Anne (Gwen Taylor) after she discovers her son did in fact rape former fiancee Carla Connor, a crime for which he was acquitted.

She tells the factory boss: "I know Frank raped you. But I swear I only found out after the trial. I heard him on the phone to you taunting you about it. Frank was lying to me when he was guilty all along."

Frank's lover Sally Webster (Sally Dynevor) will be horrified to discover he is cheating on her and could possibly seek a deadly revenge.

She tells him: "What the hell's going on Frank? I loved you. How could you do this to me?"
