Charlene Tilton's DOI surgery fears
Charlene Tilton claims she would have ended up in hospital if she had stayed in 'Dancing On Ice' for another week because her injured shoulder was causing her so much pain.
Charlene Tilton claims she would have ended up in hospital if she had stayed in 'Dancing On Ice' for another week.
The former 'Dallas' star was voted off the ITV1 show on Sunday night (05.02.12) but she thinks it was for the best because she believes she would have had to go for an operation on her shoulder if she had carried on.
Charlene - who was partnered alongside professional ice skater Matthew Gonzalez - said: "Had it gone on any more I think I could have injured my shoulder more. It's had no chance to heal.
"I've been skating through the pain. Matthew has been great. At the end of the day he said, 'Staying in another week, is it worth being on the operating table?' "
While the show has left her with an injured shoulder, Charlene is impressed with how her body has transformed since she started skating.
She added in an interview with The Sun newspaper: "I haven't quite got the skater's bum yet - but it's toning up.
"I was at the gym the other day for the first time and there was a mirror and I was naked and I glanced in the mirror and I was like, 'Whose is that back?'
"I didn't even recognise my own back, so I'm all naked in the changing room going, 'Oooh oooh! I've got none of those love handles that hang over your bras!'"
