Natalie Cassidy has reportedly reconciled her relationship with violent former fiance Adam Cottrell.
The 'Celebrity Big Brother' star is said to be on "civil terms" with the transport manager - who is the father of her 17-month-old daughter Eliza - now that he has had his restraining order lifted after being convicted of assaulting the actress in June last year.
Natalie's agent confirmed: "The restraining order against Adam has been lifted due to Adam seeking help for his alcohol dependency.
"As a result, Natalie and Adam are on civil terms."
However, a family friend has claimed the couple - who were due to marry last year - have rekindled their romance, as Adam has been "working very hard" to deal with the issues that caused the breakdown of their relationship.
A pal told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Adam is a genuinely lovely guy and he has been working very hard to deal with the issues which had come between them.
"Natalie loves him very much and they have a strong bond through Eliza.
"They're enjoying spending time together again and recently celebrated Adam's birthday together. They are determined to give Eliza the best possible start in life."
Adam, 32, was sentenced to 120 hours of unpaid work and handed a restraining order to stop him from contacting the actress after he was said to have smeared her with mascara, hit her on the leg with a slipper and grabbed her by the arms, as well as causing hundreds of pounds worth of damage to their Hertfordshire home.
Deputy District Judge Anita Borwick said at the time: "Your behaviour towards Miss. Cassidy was both humiliating and disturbing."
