Perez Hilton begs Simon Cowell for X Factor role
Infamous gossip blogger Perez Hilton has begged 52-year-old music mogul Simon Cowell to choose him as one of the new judges for US 'X Factor'.
Perez Hilton has begged Simon Cowell to be considered for one of the vacant US 'X Factor' positions.
The celebrity gossip blogger posted a video on his site, claiming he should be chosen to take over from either Nicole Scherzinger or Paula Abdul because he would be "fabulous", can recognise emerging talent and will do whatever it takes to succeed on the show.
He said: "I'm just going to be me and I'm so fabulous - in case you couldn't tell - and fun and self-deprecating!
"I'm going to keep it real, I'm not going to try to be like anybody else. I'm going to be me and be honest. That's not necessarily being mean or necessarily loud, it's just being the viewer and the expert.
"Most importantly I am a huge music lover and I bring with me a lot of experience and expertise in the world of music. I have been a huge champion and early supporter of such artists as Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Adele and Amy Winehouse.
"I will do whatever it takes! I'm Perez Hilton and I'm your next 'X Factor' judge."
Perez also took a swipe at last year's panel - which in addition to Nicole and Paula features Simon and record executive L.A. Reid - claiming they were feeding the audience and contestants "bulls**t".
Perez added in his video message: "I was watching 'X Factor' so much this first season and I was shocked at how often the panel and judges' mentors were just whitewashing things and feeding the contestants and the audience a bunch of BS. People can smell baloney a mile away."
